At Cybrary, we are dedicated to providing you and your team with the most relevant and up-to-date learning experience. As a result, you will notice occasional changes to the content within the app. Rest assured, our primary focus is on empowering you as a learner, or as a team leader, to achieve your goals. We understand the importance of a seamless learning journey, and in our commitment to your success, we diligently work to minimize any disruptions that may arise from these content changes. In this article, we'll guide you through the process of content replacement for Custom Paths on Cybrary.
When content within a Custom Path has changed, you will see a tag letting you know that there has been a change.
Click on View Details to see what has changed within your path. Impacted content will have a tag or tags indicating the change.
In the example above, item 13 - USB Drop Attack has a tag noting it will be Archived on 01/01/2023. This means that the USB Drop Attack course will no longer be available after that date. Keeping the course in your Custom Path after this date will prevent learners from completing the path, which can lead to frustration and confusion. To avoid any such issues, remove the content item from your Custom Path by doing the following:
Scroll to the top of the page and click the Edit Path button.
Scroll down to the content item you want to change. USB Drop Attack
Click the “x” to the right of the course to remove it from your Custom Path
Scroll to the bottom of the page to click Save Path and you’re done.
Looking at another item from the example path above, item 14 - Penetration Testing and Ethical Hacking, there is a tag noting that a new version of the content was released on 7/3/2023. While it’s not required that the content within the custom path be replaced, we strongly recommend that you update to the newest version as soon as possible. Should a learner complete the updated content, this will not be counted towards path completion. To avoid this problem, we recommend you update the path with the most recent version.
Within the Edit Path screen, scroll down to the bottom and click the Add Item button.
Search for the item you want to replace. Penetration Testing and Ethical Hacking
Select the replacement course and click the Add button.
The new course will appear at the bottom of the list. Click the Up arrow to the left of the content item to move it up within the list until it is just below the course you are replacing.
Once you have the replacement item in place, follow the steps above to remove the older course from the list.
After you have finished all of your changes on the Edit Path page, scroll to the bottom and click the Save button.
When reviewing content you might notice a course with both an Archiving tag and a New Version tag. We recommend that you treat this in exactly the same way as content that only has the New Version tag, adding the newest version and removing the older version.
